Assessment first
The dentist assesses whether the tooth can be preserved. An X-ray may help evaluate the roots and the complexity of removal.
The treatment
The dentist removes the tooth under local anaesthesia. Stitches may be needed. Complex cases may be referred to an oral surgeon.
Aftercare
You will receive instructions for wound care and recovery. Follow these instructions. Contact the practice if bleeding does not stop, you develop a fever, or pain or swelling increases.
